this wednesday SUBSUELO we’ll be dancing with 3 very funky drummers : Kiran Gandhi, Fabian Mauricio + Daunte Jerrell ——->  RSVP @ Facebook <——— International beatmaker Kiran Gandhi plays congas, bongos, djembe, darbuka, gongs, bodhran, and Indian tablas.  She’s from NYC but been drumming at Theivery Corporation’s Washington DC club ESL for the past few years.  Recently transplanted here in LA, Kiran’s already played at AfroFunké and ripped it up last month at Subsuelo. (photo above by Farah Sosa) Fabian + Daunte have been drumming together since they was little kids, which means grooves been in the pocket ya for a minute … the video abive is from an improvised show we did together last September (Fabian on the kit, Daunte on the congas). And of course good luck keep Gnotes from smacking a membrane, plus palmas from La Tigresa and the unfukwitable DJ Ethos on the cutz.  Do we even need a DJ? Yes? Good, cuz we got 3.
